ソードのエース Ace of Swords
Waite はソードのエースを、雲から現れた手が王冠に囲まれた剣を握る図柄とし、正位置の意味に勝利、力の勝利、あらゆる事柄における過度を挙げている。愛にも憎しみにも働く大きな力のカードであり、逆位置では同じ力が破滅的な結果をもたらすとする一方、別の説として受胎や出産も記している。
