カップの6 Six of Cups
Waite はカップの6を、古い庭園で花に満ちた杯を持つ子供たちの図とし、正位置では子供時代などを振り返る過去と記憶、過去から来る幸福や楽しみ、消え去ったものを意味するとし、新しい関係や環境を与える別の解釈にも触れている。逆位置には未来、再生、やがて起こることを挙げ、追加の意味では楽しい思い出と、逆位置に速やかに手に入る相続を記している。
正位置の意味
過去と記憶のカードであり、たとえば子供時代などを振り返ること。幸福、楽しみ。ただし、むしろ過去から来るもの。消え去ったもの。別の解釈はこれを逆転させ、新しい関係、新しい知識、新しい環境を与える。その場合、子供たちは見慣れない場所で遊び戯れていることになる。

A card of the past and of memories, looking back, as—for example—on childhood; happiness, enjoyment, but coming rather from the past; things that have vanished. Another reading reverses this, giving new relations, new knowledge, new environment, and then the children are disporting in an unfamiliar precinct.
