ワンドのエース Ace of Wands
Waite はワンドのエースを、雲から現れた手が太いワンドを握る図とし、正位置では創造・発明・事業とその源となる力、始まりや誕生、事業の出発点を意味するとしている。逆位置には転落や退廃、破滅のほか、曇った喜びを挙げ、追加の意味では正位置にあらゆる災難、逆位置に誕生のしるしを記している。
正位置の意味
創造、発明、事業、そしてこれらを生み出す力。原理、始まり、源泉。誕生、家族、起源、またある意味でそれらの背後にある男性的な生命力〔virility〕。事業の出発点。別の説によれば、金銭、財産、相続。
